The voice of Kansas City sports

With more than 15 years of broadcasting experience at the high school, collegiate, and semi-professional levels, Tim Spoerl has earned a reputation for delivering energetic, knowledgeable, and professional play-by-play throughout the Kansas City.

Tim currently serves as the primary play-by-play voice for Rockhurst University athletics, Spectrum News' Game of the Week, and Sports Radio 810 WHB's High School Game of the Week.

As the voice of Rockhurst University, Tim calls men's and women's soccer, basketball, lacrosse, softball, and baseball broadcasts on the GLVC Sports Network. In recent years, he has expanded into television, serving as the play-by-play announcer for Spectrum News' high school football and basketball Game of the Week broadcasts, while also calling select events for Fountain City Sports Network.

In addition to his current roles, Tim has been a longtime contributor to Sports Radio 810 WHB, where he has called six NAIA Men's Basketball National Championships, numerous Kansas and Missouri high school state championship events, and hosted weekly pregame and postgame shows.

From 2015 to 2019, Tim was the voice of Avila University, providing play-by-play coverage of football, men's and women's basketball, and baseball, while also broadcasting multiple NAIA National Championship tournaments.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tim graduated from Benedictine College with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. He now calls Kansas City, Missouri, home, where he continues to bring compelling storytelling and a passion for sports to audiences across radio, television, and streaming platforms.
